The Tasman Business and Tourism Association (TBTA) is an incorporated association formed on 27th June 2019.

The TBTA works collaboratively with the Tasman Council and Destination Southern Tasmania (DST), with a purpose to create an economically sustainable Tasman region by building on its tourism potential and supporting development of local businesses and youth employment.

Our TBTA History

  • Originally, Port Arthur and Tasman Tourism Association (PATTA) was formed in 2006 as the Tasman region's peak tourism association to promote the region as a unique and inspiring tourism destination on behalf of the regional tourism industry and the Tasman community.
  • The Tasman Business Association (TBA) was registered in 2016 to help promote local businesses.
  • In 2019 PATTA and the TBA amalgamated to create a stronger, unified and diverse association. Due to COVID and a change in volunteer capacity, the TBTA was paused in 2022 however with increased passion and interest and a new committee the TBTA was reactivated in May 2024.
